Biography

Sophie Duchesne is a Senior Researcher at the Centre for Political Research at Sciences Po (CEVIPOF). Her current research projects are: a comparative study of the politicisation of debate in France, the UK and French-speaking Belgium; a qualitative inquiry into the British identity of people living in England; and an empirical analysis of citizens’ attitudes towards the European Union. She teaches at the University of Oxford (research methods). She is coordinator of the European Research Group “European Democracies” and associate member of Nuffield College at Oxford.
Dr Duchesne holds a PhD in political science which she earned at Sciences Po in 1994.
She is affiliated to the CNRS.
