Sophie is a current student at the École Normale Supérieure Lettres et Sciences Humaines Lyon. She took the Agrégation d'Espagnol ( teaching qualification in Spanish) in 2009. She had a multi-disciplinary training in humanities at the ENS while specializing in Spanish litterature, culture and intellectual history. For her 1st year of Master's, she worked on a dissertation upon Spanish medieval history and culture, more specifically upon the works of King Alfonso X. As for her 2nd year of Master's she focused on Spanish Golden Age, the works of Cervantes and the intellectual history related to them. During the 2009-2010 year she is a resident at the Maison Française d'Oxford and a visiting student at the University of Oxford. Her pre-Phd project focuses on Spanish Golden Age and its intellectual history. Therefore, she works with the History of sciences programme and the Modernities programme of the Maison Française.
