Biography

Sophie is a current student at the École Normale Supérieure Lettres et Sciences Humaines Lyon. She took the Agrégation d'Espagnol ( teaching qualification in Spanish) in 2009. She had a multi-disciplinary training in humanities at the ENS while specializing in Spanish litterature, culture and intellectual history. For her 1^st year of Master's, she worked on a dissertation upon Spanish medieval history and culture, more specifically upon the works of King Alfonso X. As for her 2^nd year of Master's she focused on Spanish Golden Age, the works of Cervantes and the intellectual history related to them. During the 2009-2010 year she is a resident at the Maison Française d'Oxford and a visiting student at the University of Oxford. Her pre-Phd project focuses on Spanish Golden Age and its intellectual history. Therefore, she works with the History of sciences programme and the Modernities programme of the Maison Française.
