Mireille Delmas-Marty is a Professor at the Collège de France. After her Agrégation in Private Law and Criminal Science, she taught in the Universities of Lille II, Paris XI and Paris I. In 2002, she was elected at the Collège de France, to the chair "Etudes juridiques comparatives et internationales du droit". In 2007, she was elected Member of the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques.
Mireille Delmas-Marty has published many reference books among which "Les forces imaginantes du droit", in three volumes (Seuil, 2004-2007). After The Implementation of the Corpus Juris in the Member States (Intersentia, 2000, with J.A.E. Vervaele) and Towards a truly common law (Cambridge U.P., 2002), a translation of her recent work into English has just been published: Ordering Pluralism : A Conceptual Framework for Understanding the Transnational Legal World (Hart Publishing, coll. French Studies in International Law, 2009)
