Culturethèque is an online multimedia library offering a wide range of French e-books, audiobooks, films, documentaries and plays.
French comics, cookbooks, travel books, language and grammar books and much more.
Sign up and access it all for free.
Library
The library of the Maison Française d'Oxford is a study and information centre specializing in French culture and society.
The collections are made up of 40,000 books, 50 periodicals, and a Film Library of approximatively 700 films, mostly fiction.
Our collections can be found on SOLO, the University of Oxford’s Libraries network.
The Library provides privileged access to a whole array of French periodicals and journals in integral text through the following websites:

Membership & lending
You must be a member of the library to borrow documents. Membership is open to everyone (students, researchers, private individuals). It is non-transferable and valid for one academic year.
There are two types of subscription:
Books: Subscription is free. You can borrow up to 5 books for 3 weeks.
Books and films: You can borrow 2 films in addition to 5 books. Subscription costs £20 for the academic year, or £10 per term. You can borrow films for 1 week.
You can find our films on SOLO or browse our DVDs by Titles or by Directors.
It is possible to renew loans.
