Please tell us about your research project.
As part of my Master 2, I am working on a research paper about The British Conservatism in the light of Brexit. I want to understand how Brexit has impacted the Conservative Party in its organization and ideology. I would also like to know in what extent Brexit has divided the Party and had an impact on its cohesion. In general, I am genuinely interested in the right and far-right parties and movements in Europe and I would love to keep working on these subjects in the future.
Could you please tell us a bit more about your scholarship/exchange programme?
I am a student coming from Sciences Po Aix in a Political Science Master oriented in research. This Master gives me the opportunity of a field investigation for two months. For my subject, I chose to investigate in London and Oxford after being recommended to make contact with the Maison française of Oxford by my teachers. My degree is about Political Science in Europe but also concerns Latin America and the Arab world. Indeed, I am also truly interested in Arab world politics, geopolitics, and history.
First impressions of Oxford/the University?
I find the city of Oxford wonderful. It really is a city with an academic environment that is sincerely motivating for a young student like me. For example, I like seeing how the University of Oxford placed its different colleges as they were just casual houses in North Oxford. I also love the Bodleian Library and the architecture of the city. I would love to study more in Oxford and I hope I will live there for many years at least.
