Please tell us about your research project.
I am a PhD student in my third year and I work on national dispersal policy of refugees and asylum seekers in European member states. EU member states have developed different policies to allocate (newly) arrived refugees and/or asylum seekers geographically across their territory and thus, steer settlement of the group to certain locations (regions and municipalities). In my research, I engage in three comparative case studies: Germany, France and Austria. I seek to shed light on the multi-level-governance frameworks of dispersal in the three countries.
Could you please tell us a bit more about your scholarship/exchange programme?
I am staying six months in Oxford (until the end of March 2022) thanks to the OxPo programme - the academic exchange programme between Sciences Po Paris and the University of Oxford.
First impressions of Oxford/the University?
Oxford is a great place to do research! It is calm, pretty and holds many green spaces to go for walks. The university library has great resources and is a nice place to work.
