1946-2026 - MFO's 80th Anniversary Heritage Fund

In 2026, the Maison Française d’Oxford celebrates 80 years of intellectual and cultural exchange between France and the United Kingdom. Since 1946, the Maison has brought together scholars, writers, artists, and thinkers, creating a space where ideas circulate freely across borders.

Today, this unique institution stands at a pivotal moment in its history.

To mark this milestone, we are launching the 80th Anniversary Heritage Fund, an initiative dedicated to preserving the Maison’s 1967 building integrity, restoring its historic interiors, and securing its future as a vibrant centre for research and dialogue.

With your support, we will:
• Restore emblematic furniture and reception spaces
• Safeguard the long-term preservation, safety, and technical resilience of the building
• Renew selected residential areas for visiting scholars
• Strengthen the Maison’s identity as a flagship of Franco-British exchange

By contributing, you help preserve this shared history and shape its future.

Join us in shaping the next 80 years!
