I am a third year PhD student at Centre d'histoire de Sciences Po. My research focuses on the transnational history of the Great Famine in China (1958-1963). I am currently working on agents of information during the period of the famine, such as diplomats, refugees and journalists.
Could you please tell us a bit more about your scholarship/exchange programme?
I'm grateful to be part of the MFO community, thanks to the monthly scholarship of Maison française and the OxPo exchange programme.
First impressions of Oxford/the University?
I think it's a dream for every history student to realize a stay in Oxford. It is a city where the past harmonizes beautifully with the present. I am fascinated by the English Gothic and Baroque buildings as well as other historical monuments. Thanks to the cordial and friendly ambiance at MFO, I was able to kick start my research project as soon as I arrived here.
