EHESS SUMMER SCHOOL 2024 (1 - 5 July)

The next EHESS summer school will focus on the relationship between the visual arts and the social sciences. It will be an opportunity to bring together doctoral students who wish to explore in greater depth the ways the visual arts can be studied from various social sciences’ perspectives (anthropology, history, sociology) or disciplines associated to its interdisciplinary project (law, economics, philosophy). We will also be addressing how art fits into the whole range of human activities, even if it may need to be given a special place within them. And if so, how?
