The Choix Goncourt UK is a great occasion for British students who love reading to discover or develop a taste for contemporary French literature. This year, 15 UK-based universities and their students are taking part in this literary event.
Students are convening in reading groups to discuss the books from the Académie Goncourt shortlist.

The Académie Goncourt announced on 25 October 2022 its final selection for the 2022 prize:

Giuliano Da Empoli with Le Mage du Kremlin (Gallimard)
Brigitte Giraud with Vivre vite (Flammarion)
Cloé Korman with Les Presque Sœurs (Seuil)
Makenzy Orcel with Une somme humaine (Rivages)

The Choix Goncourt UK is convened by Catriona Seth (Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages, University of Oxford) and the Maison Française d’Oxford, in collaboration with the Higher Education, Research and Innovation Department at the French Embassy, the French Institute in London, the AUF Europe de l’Ouest, the Académie Goncourt and Librairie "La Page".
