Amelie Berger-Soraruff grew up in France. She has a Bachelor in History of Philosophy, obtained at the University of Grenoble, and a Master in Philosophy and Literature awarded by the University of Dundee. From 2017 and 2020, she completed a thesis on Bernard Stiegler’s philosophy of Technology which she is turning into a monograph due to be published with Bloomsbury in the next year. She is also translating to English Raymond Ruyer’s La cybernétique de l’information. Her areas of specialization include philosophy of technology, Contemporary French Philosophy and New Media Theory.
She taught at the University of Dundee and the Melbourne School of Continental Philosophy. Since 2020, she is a Research Fellow at the Scottish Centre for Continental Philosophy. She is now based at the Maison Française d’Oxford and will oversee the progress of the NOTCOM project.
