Amelie Berger-Soraruff grew up in France. She has a Bachelor in History of Philosophy, obtained at the University of Grenoble, and a Master in Philosophy and Literature awarded by the University of Dundee.
In 2020, she completed a thesis on Bernard Stiegler’s philosophy of Technology. Her first book Technics of Existence: Sartre, Foucault and Stiegler was published with Bloomsbury in 2024. She also translated Raymond Ruyer’s La cybernétique de l’information. Her areas of specialisation include philosophy of technology, Contemporary French Philosophy and New Media Theory.
She taught at the University of Dundee and the Melbourne School of Continental Philosophy. She is now based at the Maison Française d’Oxford. She is in charge with overseeing the progress of the NOTCOM project and with contributing to the contemporary segment of research on sciences and technology. In her free time, she writes fiction. She is currently published with Les Éditions Héloïse d’Ormesson.
