Charlotte Murgier is Associate Professor in Ancient Philosophy at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne university since 2019, and from 2011 to 2019 at Paris-Est Créteil University. After a PhD in the University of Lille (2005-2009), she has been visiting in Princeton University as a Fulbright Fellowship (2010-2011) and in the university of Munich (LMU) through a Clemens Heller postdoctoral Fellowship (June-December 2011). Her research focuses on Ancient Ethics, particularly in Plato, Aristotle and Peripatetics. She has published a monograph Éthiques en dialogue. Aristote lecteur de Platon (Vrin, 2013) and several articles or chapters on such topics as pleasure, friendship, or money in Plato or Aristotle. Her current research focuses on the pleasures of virtue in ancient ethics.
