Please tell us about your research project
My research project explores the political thought of the Marquis de Condorcet, a French Enlightenment philosopher and revolutionary. More specifically, it delves into the philosophical questions raised by majority decision in his work: What constitutes a good voting method? And why should minorities be obliged by decisions made by the majority?
Could you please tell us a bit more about your scholarship/exchange programme?
I was a resident at the Maison française d’Oxford and was invited by the Voltaire Foundation as a visiting scholar through a partnership with Sorbonne Université. I am pursuing my PhD, specializing in Enlightenment studies.
First impressions of Oxford/the University?
Oxford University offers an excellent network of libraries, making it an ideal place to write a philosophy thesis. I had the opportunity to engage in fruitful interactions with colleagues who shared my area of expertise.
