Goran Gaber is a Visiting post-doctoral Researcher at the Oxford Centre for European History and the MFO. He obtained his PhD in Philosophy at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in 2019. In addition to conducting his research at the Laboratoire interdisciplinaire d'études sur les réflexivités (LIER-FYT), Goran was a visiting scholar at the Institut d'Histoire de la Réformation in Geneva (2016) and a postdoctoral fellow at the Leibniz-Zentrum für Literatur- und Kulturforschung in Berlin (2021).

Working at the crossroads of intellectual history, sociology of knowledge, and political philosophy, he is the editor of the Slovenian translation of Max Weber's »Wissenschaft als Beruf« and has published several articles in English, Spanish, and French on Immanuel Kant, Michel Foucault, and various figures in the history of historiography (Francesco Robortello, Richard Simon, Reinhart Koselleck).

His current research exploits digital resources and analytical tools to explore the social, confessional, and political coordinates of the early-modern emergence of the concept of Critique.
