Paolo Tortonese is Professor of French Literature at the Sorbonne Nouvelle, where he is a member of the Centre de Recherche sur les Poétiques du XIXe siècle (CRP19). He recently published La Faute au roman : littérature et morale, Paris, Vrin, 2023. As a follow-up to this book, his current research focuses on the relationship between ethics and narrative, in particular on Aristotelian-inspired literary theories, today and in the past. He spends two weeks in Oxford at the invitation of the Maison Française, the French sub-faculty and St Catz College. He is scheduled to present his latest book at the MFO on February 29 at 5:15 p.m.
