Anne-Sophie Gabillas studied in France and Italy for her Master’s and doctoral studies in History of Art. She then worked for the Institut Français d’Allemagne in Mainz (Germany) as Culture and Communications Assistant, organising bilingual cultural events, talks, conferences, exhibitions and film screenings. She also managed workshops for various museums in Frankfurt am Main. Later, she was in charge of communications at a bilingual school in Frankfurt, the Lycée Français Victor Hugo, which belongs to the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE).
Since 2017 she has been responsible for communications and outreach at the Maison Française d’Oxford, where she participates in organising and curating scientific and cultural events such as seminars, conferences and exhibitions. She also oversees and designs MFO's external communications (website, newsletter, social media, print and exhibits).
Since 2021 she has been managing the MFO Alumni Association (AMFO) with former MFO director Frederic Thibault-Starzyk.
From January 2023, she is also overseeing communications and outreach activities for the ERC project NOTCOM.
